Vacancy description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for clients, which includes: HST set-up/filing
  • Day to day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, period end and Year-end reporting, run Payroll
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills
  • Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents
  • Prepare and file T1, T2 and HST returns as well as adjustments Prepare financial statements and forecasts
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.
  • Meet and follow up with clients, update/manage accounting client database, update accounting marketing materials if necessary Other tasks as required

 

Qualification:

 

  • Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma;
  • Minimum one year of experience;
  • Knowledge of Databased software, Quick Books, MS Excel, MYOB, Enterprise resource planning (ERP)
  • Knowledge of tax preparing software
